The detentions were announced after a flurry of activity spotted around the borough Thursday.
Agents were seen at the intersection of Starr and Washington streets as early as 7 a.m., and then again at the Acme and Wawa at around 8 a.m.
Authorities have not identified the arrested individuals, nor formally announced the arrests. Patch has reached out to the Department of Homeland Security for more information.
Project Libertad added that three individuals had been taken into detention by ICE in Norristown on Wednesday.
The group said they are working to assist families of the detained individuals with food and resources.
