Dinniman Honors Luigi Liberato, President of Liberato Steel

SPRING CITY (March 14) – State Senator Andy Dinniman recently honored Luigi Liberato, president and CEO of L. Liberato Steel Fabricating Company, for his success and contributions to the business community.

“Liberato Steel is an excellent example of a locally based company that has found its niche in the marketplace and continues to grow as we experience more and more signs of economic recovery,” Dinniman said. “It’s my pleasure to recognize Mr. Liberato, who came to this country more than 40 years ago and through determination, innovation and sweat claimed his piece of the American Dream.”

Liberato was also recently honored with the Special Achievement Award in Business and Entrepreneurship by the National Italian-American Political Action Committee.

Liberato originally began working with steel in 1967 when he immigrated to America from Italy. He and his brother established their own ornamental steel business in 1973 in Norristown. In the early 1980s, they moved the business to Phoenixville and in 1999, to its current location in Spring City. During that time Liberato’s shop has grown from a small storefront to a large facility that makes pieces of steel used for building homes and commercial properties, including the Philadelphia Regional Produce Market, Rowan University and the Valley Forge Train Station.
