Are You a Hater? Is it your Destiny!

Research has proven those with a negative outlook will find something to dislike in anything, from architecture, vaccines, or even crossword puzzles

Well after reading the most recent joint research study conducted at the Univ. Of Illinois  and Univ. of Penn. apparently it has been determined, anyone that hates will hate whatever is in front of them.  The research has proven those with a negative outlook will find something to dislike in anything, from architecture, vaccines, or even crossword puzzles.

So let’s look at this from our own personal perspectives.  When you wake up in the morning do you find something about your day you are going to dislike or even hate? Or do you wake up thinking what great things are ahead and what you like about your life or day?  Think really hard and take a moment to reflect.  Is it possible that you may be a hater and living in a world where you will always find fault with your life and this world?

Are you a person where all the bad things happen to you?  It is just not fair, you were not promoted or the weather sucked while you were on vacation or you just can’t seem to catch a break because you do everything right and you still aren’t reducing your size? Do you hate working out or dread eating another veggie?

Maybe your friends just don’t understand or your boss is relentless or maybe the cashier at the grocery store wasn’t very pleasant, or the guy behind you is tailgating you for no reason… this could go on and on.  The one thing that seems to be the same in all of these equations is you.  Is it possible that sh*% happens and it is your personal perspective that may be making them good or bad.

According to this most recent research study, if this is your personality that is who you are and you will dislike most things in life.  Where the research stopped was the possibility that a conscious effort to change one’s perspective may possibly change their overall outlook on life.   It has been shown those who spend time being grateful can change a negative perspective.  Ever heard of an “Attitude of Gratitude”?

Being thankful and grateful are two keys to changing your perspective of hate.  Although it may seem like you have nothing to be thankful or grateful for, there is always something.  Be thankful for being given another opportunity each day, to wake up and try again.  Take time out daily to write down your moments of gratitude and it will change how you see things.  Instead of writing down what is wrong in your world, write down what is truly right.

So think about this when it comes to lifestyle change; loving all your workouts or loving the veggies in the world may not be in your cards, however if you can be grateful for the ability to do these things everyday, you may find your hate turn into like. The results can far outweigh just reducing your size or becoming healthier, it may even help you see your whole world in a different perspective.
