Firebird Theatre Offers Summer Drama Workshops for Teens and Kids!

School will be out soon – will your children have fun and enriching things to do in June and July? 

Firebird Theatre is offering two summer drama workshops for kids and teens, to teach participants about singing, acting, dancing, and producing a full musical production!

From June 17 – 28, kids ages 7-12 can participate in the Cinderella Kids workshop.  Under the direction of our professional theatre instructor and interns, kids will learn singing, acting, and a little dancing while preparing a full production of Cinderella Kids,  which will be performed on the last day of the workshop.  No prior theatre experience is necessary!

In our three week workshop, July 15 through August 2, performers ages 7 – 18 will learn theatre skills and prepare a full production of The Little Mermaid Jr. on the stage of the historic Colonial Theatre.  Again, no theatre experience is necessary and all parts will be cast on the first day.

Both workshops will be held at the Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge Street, in Phoenixville, from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.  Registration is going on now and spaces are limited. 

If your child wants a full day of activity he or she can also sign up for afternoon art classes at the Phoenix Village Art Center and our interns will escort them to the art center after a quick lunch.  Go to www.phoenixvillageartcenter.org for more information on art classes.

Firebird Theatre is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide an opportunity for children and teens to develop skills in all aspects of the theatre arts.  We offer Saturday morning workshops throughout the year and a full-scale musical production in the summer, in addition to our summer drama camp workshops.
