Cleaning out the garage, shed, or basement? Found a beloved but unused bicycle. Don't know what to do with it but you need the space.
We have the perfect spot for you to donate it!
Help reduce landfill waste and expand access to affordable transportation by donating your used bike. All collected bikes will be refurbished and donated to members of the Southern Chester County workforce who rely on biking as a low-cost, reliable commuting option. This is part of the Transportation Management Assocation of Chester County's (TMACC) ongoing mission to support sustainable, multimodal transportation and workforce mobility.
How It Works:
- Donate a Bike: Bring your gently used bicycle (light rust acceptable, no major damage) to the event.
- Special Need: Small Adult Bikes – Many recipients need smaller-sized adult bikes, so if you have one to give, it will be greatly appreciated!
- Refurbishment: Volunteers from Bike Chester County will clean, repair, and tune up the bikes.
- Redistribution: Bikes will be distributed in the fall via Bike Kennett to workers in need of transportation assistance.
- Tax-Deductible Donations: Bikes are accepted through TMA of Chester County, a 501(c)(3). Receipts available at the event.
Goals:
- Divert bicycles from landfills.
- Promote equity by helping people get to work without relying on a car.
- Increase use of clean, sustainable travel modes.
- Build a stronger, more connected community through volunteerism.
