Songs and Stories of the American Revolution

Phoenixville Public Library

Phoenixville Public Library will host a free program, “Songs and Stories of the American Revolution,” on Thursday, June 4 at 6:30 PM. Singer/storyteller Matthew Dodd is the presenter. Dressed in period costume, before a set of a Colonial tavern, Matthew takes audiences back in time to the days of the American Colonial settlement and the American Revolution. Using rousing period songs and stories that put the songs into the context of the time, Matthew brings to life the exciting time of the days of 1776. Throughout the show, Matthew sings and plays guitar and banjo. This program supports America 250PA Chester County and is free and open to the public.
