A Coatesville man has been acquitted in an alleged revenge shooting of a now-imprisoned local gang leader, according to a Daily Local News report.
Maurice Scott, 23, was found not guilty of all charges and hugged his attorney, Shaka Johnson, as the verdict was read, the report states.
Scott had been accused of attempting to shoot Zaequon Closson outside the Regency Park Apartments in March 2014, according to the report.

Closson returned fire at whoever did shoot at him, striking a 14-year-old boy in the belly, the report states. The boy recovered.
Closson accused Scott, Scott’s attorney argued, because Closson thought that cooperating with authorities would get him out of jail.
