Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School Students in Oaks Participate in Interactive Chemistry Lesson for Earth Day

Dr. James M. Karlinsey from Penn State Berks led an Earth Day science assembly for Chesterbrook Academy students

On April 17, students at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Oaks celebrated Earth Day with a special science assembly. Dr. James M. Karlinsey, a professor of chemistry at Penn State Berks, stepped away from his college classroom for the day to do an experiment for junior kindergarteners. His brightly colored tie-dye lab coat and foaming experiment provided a fun environment for the students, including his son, to learn about chemistry.
