Chesterbrook Academy(R) Elementary School in Oaks Donates Coats, Gloves and School Supplies for Local Children in Need
Students presented their donation of 60 coats and other items to representatives from Feel The Warmth at Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown
On Nov. 23, students from Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in Oaks met with representatives from nonprofit organization Feel The Warmth at Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown to present a donation of more than 60 coats, as well as gloves and school supplies. The representatives were in attendance to accept the donations, thank the students for their hard work and explain how their contributions will help children in need in the greater Philadelphia region. Students also received a tour of the zoo to see the animals, including a reindeer named Angel. Students, parents and teachers collected the donations over a five-week period.
Feel The Warmth provides school supplies, uniforms, winter coats, children’s books and toys to less fortunate children in Montgomery and Chester counties in Pennsylvania. For more information, visit www.feelthewarmth.org.
