Coffee With the Superintendent Slated for Wednesday

If you have a burning question you’d like to ask the superintendent of Phoenixville Area School District but aren’t keen about stepping up to the podium during a public meeting, come out and have coffee with Dr. Alan Fegley on Wednesday.

A Coffee with the Superintendent event will be held Wednesday, March 14 at 9 a.m. in the district’s administration building. The community coffee events began last year and Fegley said many came out to take part.

“Last year it was outstanding,” Fegley said.

It’s been a few months since a Coffee with the Superintendent event was held in the district, and Fegley said he enjoys the open forum and lively discussion.

“I’m hoping to get a better understanding of the district,” Fegley said.

He said along with questions, he usually hears suggestions about things that could be done in the local public school system, as well as some compliments. Fegley answers questions from resident at the events and will also get back to the residents if something comes up that he can’t answer.

Everyone is welcome at the free event, and Fegley hopes people will take him up on the offer to have coffee and chat about the district.

“It is truly for anyone in the community,” Fegley said. “It’s a great way for us to dispel the rumors that are out there.”
