The Phoenixville Green Team is proud to celebrate the official opening of the 2.3 mile Schuylkill River Trail segment in downtown Phoenixville. Come join us this Saturday, April 25th at the Phoenixville Farmers Market under the Gay Street bridge for a variety of fun activities!

After you stock up on fresh, local produce for the week, stick around!

Starting at 10:30am, there will be live music (bluegrass and more), chalk art and Plein Air artists, and free bike helmets/fitting for kids (thanks to the Phoenixville Police Athletic League).

At 11:00am, we will get ready for hiking and biking tours, as well as a historical tour of the Foundry and French Creek by the Schuylkill River Heritage Center. Bike Chester County will lead the bike tour, and there will be some free bikes for rent as part of our Bike Schuylkill bike share program.

The Schuylkill River Trail is a riparian buffer and trail system along French Creek and the Schuylkill River. So many people and organizations have been instrumental to this accomplishment, including the Phoenixville Greenway Team, which has been working for over 25 years advocating this comprehensive park system in our community.
