Completed Phoenixville Mural Impresses Visitors
The mural on the corner of Starr and Bridge Street draws daily onlookers.

The mural on the corner of Starr and Bridge Street is completed, and the borough - and visitors - are taking notice.
Clouds are painted on the mural that blend in with the sky behind it, as if the image has been painted over the air.
The mural is on the wall of Marly’s restaurant and faces the lot of the Bluebird Distillery,

It portrays Phoenixville’s industrial beginnings and the banks of the Schuylkill River, and also blends in with the surrounding vegetation and street.
Local artist Teresa Haag, who created the mural, says on her website that she “tells stories through cityscapes.”

On both Saturday and Sunday there were onlookers standing in the Bluebird Distillery lot taking photos of the mural.
Another striking mural is being planned just across the street at the new apartment buildings. It will portray a phoenix breathing fire amidst industrial cogs.
