Cop Rescues, Entertains 2-Year-Old Phoenixville Girl Trapped In Car

One local mother got some help when she locked her keys - and her daughter - inside her car.

She would later call it a “clueless mom” moment.

Jacqui Quigley locked her keys - along with her two-year-old daughter - inside her car outside of the Giant in Phoenixville on Monday morning, she posted on Facebook.

Unable to get to her keys or to get her daughter to open the door, she called the police.

Officer Bryan responded to the scene and, the mother said, immediately made the situation easier.

“His gentle and kind demeanor put me at ease,” she said.

She said that Bryan called a company that could unlock the car, and played peek-a-boo with her daughter stuck inside the car while they waited.

“(He kept) my daughter engaged and laughing,” Quigley said. “I wish I could have taken his picture or got it on video. He was so amazing.”

Soon, the company arrived and opened the car free of charge.

“In this world where cops are being gunned down and very under recognized and under-appreciated, I wanted to publicly thank a Phoenixville Police Officer.”
