Stop the Phoenixville Land Grab! Save Meadow Brook Golf Club

Residents Come Together to Defend Their Community to Save a Family Owned Business from Eminent Domain

'I'm not ready to retire!' The owner of Meadowbrook Golf Club wants everyone to know he is not a willing seller of his property.

Politicians are seizing property in our community.  No longer satisfied with the wealth seized through real estate, per capita and occupation assessment taxes, the Phoenixville Area School Board has identified a new source of revenue.  They are now seizing our property outright with the power of eminent domain.

They believe that they have the right to grab any property, for any purpose, with as little as 30 days notice to the property owner. If not stopped,  there is no limit to what they can seize. Their appetite is insatiable. They won’t stop unless we hold them accountable.

On November 14th, the Phoenixville Area School Board voted to seize Meadowbrook Golf Club and the historic family residence of Bruce Campbell.

Instead of using existing school property, or purchasing land at fair market price, these politicians are just taking what they want by force. The property owner has been ordered to vacate. A family business is being destroyed, and a piece of our history will be lost forever…if they aren’t stopped.
