East Pikeland Police Blotter: Woman with Flat Tire Charged with DUI

Woman Charged with DUI After Driving with Flat Tire
East Pikeland Police responded to a report of an erratic driver northbound on Kimberton Road on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at approximately 8 a.m.
According to police, the driver was driving on the rim of the tire because the tire had blown out. The driver, identified as Patracia Reed, 63, of Phoenixville, was pulling into Tires Plus on Township Line Road when police spotted the vehicle.

Police reported that Reed had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her, and she failed a field sobriety test. She was processed and released, charged with driving under the influence and two summary traffic charges.
A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 13 in district court.

Man Charged with DUI After Allegedly Falling Asleep at the Wheel
Timothy Weaver, 46, of Phoenixville, was charged with driving under the influence and related charges after police reported finding him behind the wheel of a vehicle near the intersection of Kimberton Road and Pughtown Road.
According to police, Weaver was found asleep behind the wheel on Aug. 28 at approximately 5:30 p.m. with the vehicle running with the brake lights and back-up lights on. A preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 13 on the charges.
New York Man Arrested in Alleged Hit and Run
Christian Restrepo, 20, of Hartsdale, NY, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and other motor vehicle violations after police say he struck the rear end of a car in the 1000 block of Route 113 on Aug. 22 at approximately 6:37 p.m.
Police say Restrepo was traveling north on Route 113 and passed two vehicles, striking one of them. Restrepo then allegedly left the scene without rendering aid. Phoenixville Police located the vehicle at Oakwood Manor Apartments.
Restrepo was arrested and released on $7,500 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 22 in district court.
Man Charged with Simple Assault After Arrest at Giant
A few days after after allegedly exposing himself at the Giant Supermarket on Nutt Road, Bernard Slott, 51, of Phoenixville, was accused of assaulting a female on Sept. 4 at approximately 8:50 p.m.
Slott was video arraigned, charged with simple assault and related charges and sent to Chester County Prison on $5,000 bail.
Tires Flattened on Peter Dehaven Drive
Sometime between Sept. 5 and Sept. 6, someone scratched the side of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of Peter Dehaven Drive and flattened four tires.
Damage was estimated at $1,000. Anyone with information is asked to call East PIkeland Police at 610-935-0606.
Police Say Woman Stole From Redner’s Warehouse Markets
On Sept. 1, East Pikeland Police cited Maria Brink, 22, of East Pikeland, for retail theft after she allegedly stole items totaling $15.20 from Redner’s Warehouse Markets in the 200 block of Schuylkill Road.
Alleged DUI at Route 113 and Fire House Lane
David Herr, 44, of Phoenixville, awaits a preliminary hearing Sept. 22 after police say he swerved over the middle yellow line near the intersection of Route 113 and Fire House Lane on Aug. 18 at approximately 4:19 a.m.
Herr was processed and released.
Adult, Juveniles Arrested for Drugs
On Aug. 20 at approximately 1:30 a.m., East Pikeland Police arrested one adult and three juveniles after police discovered them in possession of marijuana at the head of the Schuylkill River Trail off of Township Line Road, according to police.
John Pufko, 20, of Phoenxiville, was charged with possession of marijuana and related charges. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 22. The other three arrested were referred to the county’s juvenile system.
Theft on Woodmere Way
A thief broke into a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Woodmere Way between Aug. 20 and Aug. 21 and stole a pair of earphones valued at $30, according to police.
Alleged Disorderly Conduct on Clover Lane
Police cited Paul Safko, 47, of Phoenixville, for disorderly conduct after police reportedly spotted him drinking beer from a bottle in a paper bag in the 200 block of Clover Lane on Aug. 31 at approximately 3 p.m.
Man Cited for Public Drunkenness on Wall Street
John Bernstiel, 27, of Pottstown, was cited for public drunkenness after police allegedly found him stumbling in the 500 block of Wall Street on Sept. 11 at approximately 3:15 a.m.
Two Cited for Trespassing on Pikeland Avenue
Carl Mehlmann, 41, of Morton, PA, and Jon Peronteau, 47, of Spring City, were cited and released on Sept. 4 at approximately 12:27 p.m. after police allege they were trespassing on the property known as Bean’s Garage.
According to police, the two men were found inside the garage on the property, located at Pikeland Avenue and Route 724.
