East Vincent Resident Dies From Coronavirus
An East Vincent resident has died from coronavirus. It's the first fatality in the local area and the 7th in Chester County.
EAST VINCENT, PA — An East Vincent resident has died from coronavirus, officials confirmed on Thursday. It's the first fatality in the local area and the seventh in Chester County.
The news comes as the county confirmed 56 new cases on Thursday, bringing the county total to 425.

While municipalities like Tredyffrin, Willistown, and West Caln have seen fatalities, the northern part of the county has been, compared to the rest of southeastern Pennsylvania, only lightly impacted by the virus. Phoenixville has 9 cases, East Pikeland 4, Schuylkill 4, and East Vincent 13, as of Thursday afternoon.

"Please stay calm, home, and safe," Chester County Commissioner Josh Maxwell shared. "We're all counting on each other. #MaskUp. We can do this."
As of Thursday, a total of 2,682 tests administered in the county had come back negative.
Chester County is the first county in Pennsylvania to begin antibody testing. The effort will hopefully identify healthcare workers and emergency responders who have built up some immunity to the virus.
