Eerie Daytime Burglaries Put Police On Alert In Phoenixville
In multiple instances, the suspect has broken into a home he thought was unoccupied, resulting in a confrontation with the resident.

Eerie daytime residential burglaries have been occurring across Chester County over the past month, according to police.
The suspect is described as an African-American male between 6’0 and 6’2 with a hefty build, short buzzed hair, and in his late 30s to early 40s, police said.
He usually wears dark clothing, long pants, a long shirt, work gloves, and tan boots, according to police.

He drives a black SUV with thickly tinted windows, police said, and usually parks in the driveway of his victim’s home.
He then knocks on the door to determine if anyone is home, police said. If someone answers, he will have a fabricated story ready to explain himself.

In multiple instances, police said, the suspect has broken into a home he thought was unoccupied, resulting in a confrontation with the homeowner.
Burglaries are usually committed between 7 a.m. and noon, after the suspect believes residents have left for work, according to police.
Police are asking anyone who has had contact with the suspect or seen the suspect to contact East Whiteland Detectives at 610-647-2100 or to email detectives@eastwhiteland.org.
East Whiteland Police also want to remind all Chester County residents to be vigilant and careful if a stranger is knocking at their door.
If they appear suspicious, call police. If a vehicle is involved, please attempt to obtain a license plate without putting themselves at risk.
