The AARP Driver Safety Program will be held at Phoenixville Public Library on Tuesday, June 7, and Wednesday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days. AARP developed this eight-hour classroom refresher to help drivers 50 years and older improve their skills and prevent crashes. The course covers age-related physical changes in perception and reaction time, 'rules of the road', and local driving problems. There are no tests, and graduates age 55 and older are eligible to receive a discount on their auto insurance premiums.
The fee for this two-day course is $12 for AARP members showing their membership number and $14 for non-members, payable by check or money order at the door. Registration is required.
Light refreshments will be provided.
