F.O.C.U.S. Group Invites Community to Post-Prom Preview

Operation F.O.C.U.S., ’s post-prom organizers, are inviting parents and members of the public to the high school on May 19 to get a first hand look at the decorations and activities they have planned for this year’s after prom party—the 12th the group has organized.

The event runs from 7:30 p.m. through 9:30 p.m.

The organization endeavors to provide a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free, but fun, environment following prom. Freshmen and sophomores often visit the preview event in anticipation of their own future proms, and parents of middle school students are encouraged to bring the kids to see what fun lies in their futures.

Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.

This year’s theme, “Are You Game?,” centers around a variety of large-format board games, plus laser tag, a psychic, and inflatables.  Junior and senior participants, and their dates, will earn tickets and be entered into raffles for fun and exciting prizes—which include two new iPods.
