This is being written with the next three nighttime low temperatures in the 40’s, which means that a prudent gardener will take precautionary measures until Sunday (like covering plants). Warm weather plants really like warm soil, and the wind and cold (not cool) nights keep the soil temperature very low (you want more than 60 degrees). So try to wait, and harden your plants outdoors in the daytime and bring them in at nights they do not have setbacks. Unless, of course, you have tomato attention deficit disorder…..
