UPDATE: 'Heavy Fire' Destroys Upper Providence Homes
Breaking: a fire destroyed twin homes in the Port Providence section of Upper Providence Township on Monday morning. Crews remain on scene.

A fire destroyed twin homes in Upper Providence on Monday morning, fire officials confirmed, but no one has been injured.
The blaze was first reported at about 10:45 a.m. on Hollow Road, near the intersection with Duck Alley, which is in the Port Providence section.
Flames were initially concentrated on the second and third stories of the home, which was largely obscured by plumes of black smoke.

The Black Rock, Phoenixville, Upper Providence, Collegeville, and Lower Providence fire departments all responded to the scene, in addition to several other local municipalities.
An EMS unit was on the scene, according to Montco Active Incidents, but no injuries have been reported.

The blaze was still underway and crews remained on scene in the early afternoon Monday.
