Community Background
The candidate has never served on council before. He currently serves on the Phoenixville Historical Architecture Review Board (HARB), is President of the Northridge Village Homeowner's Association, and participates in the Phoenixville Athletic League.
Campaign Focus
1) Comprehensive Communication
He will facilitate the first goal by exploiting the ever growing landscape of possible social media outlets. Ichter believes there are too many unbelievable tools to reach the many generations of our borough not to take advantage of them.
2) Facilitation of Further Growth
He will continue to back plans which facilitate further economic and social growth in the borough. Jon believes in working together in continuing to support the small local Phoenixville shops that provide our character, bring larger business residents to the area, and come up with new innovative ways to sustain community projects.
3) Protection of Our Unique Attributes
He will protect the identity of our great borough. The restaurants, the blue lampposts, and steel works of the foundry all provide a distinctively exceptional flavor not seen anywhere else. As a council member Jon would work to protect these elements of our community for generations to come.

Ichter’s ability to battle through any obstacle makes him a fantastic candidate. Phoenixville contains, and this candidate is one of, the many people willing to push harder and further to make this town better in every facet.
Current Issue Positions
Jon Ichter will continue to oppose all attempts to complete housing projects which do not receive the strong support of the immediate community in the North Ward. He values our open space and enjoys the character of our community. Jon is happy to see the Firebird festival stay in our community but would have liked to see very strong consideration of the use of Veteran's Park on the North side which would have had less of an impact to immediate neighbors.
