Inspiring the team and giving back is the theme for credit union employee annual meeting
Giving back activity at employee annual meeting

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — On Feb. 7, employees at TruMark Financial® Credit Union’sannual meeting, held at the Radisson Hotel, Valley Forge, Pa., walked away with more than updates on the credit union’s 2017 strategic plan. They got a lesson in philanthropy.
TruMark Financial partnered with Odyssey Teams, Inc. and The Helping Hand Project ™ to provide employees with an impactful “give back activity” that not only inspired them but left them with a sense of accomplishment. Employees formed teams and used hand parts to construct actual prosthetic hands that are needed by thousands of amputees around the world who cannot afford such life-changing devices. The prosthetic hands will make a difference in the lives of the individuals who receive them.
The Helping Hands “give back activity” uses experiential activities to guide corporate teams towards modeling true collaboration, commitment, and quality. “The activity aligns well with the credit union’s philosophy — People Helping People,” said Richard, F. Stipa, chief executive officer, TruMark Financial.

At the conclusion of the annual meeting, TruMark Financial employees had constructed 69 pairs of newly constructed hands that will have a life-changing effect on amputees’ lives. The credit union’s community outreach efforts and financial literacy program are examples of TruMark Financial’s efforts to give back to the community. The Helping Hand project is one more example of how the credit union demonstrates its commitment to being a good corporate citizen whether it’s for a local or global cause.
