Solomiya, violinist extraordinare, returns to KA2 for the third time. A Curtis graduate and native of Ukraine, she has performed extensively in her native land as well as internationally, as soloist,chamber musician, and in chamber music festivals too numerous to count. Jungeon Kim, piano,accompanied Solomiya in their first concert here.

A native of South Korea, Kim earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Juilliard. She has won numerous awards and performed as recitalist and guest artist with orchestras and ensembles in four continents, as well as on TV and NPR. She is Director of Instrumental Accompaniment at Curtis.

This weeks selection ranges from the Romantic-Schubert, Violin Sonata in A major-the “Grand Duo”, Chopin, Ballade No. 3 in A-flat major and Brahms, - Sonata No.1 in G Major to the Impressionist – Ravel, Sonata for violin & piano No. 2 in G major - to the Modern-Ivan Karabyts, “Musician” For Solo Violin.
