Lady Knights Defeat Community Academy of Philadelphia

Phoenixville, PA—On Monday night, the Renaissance Academy Lady Knights varsity volleyball team defeated the Community Academy of Philadelphia Bruins; 25-22, 20-25, 25-20, 21-25 and 15-13. The match came down to the wire, with the winning point being an ace serve by senior, Carrie Baker.

Other top scorer for the Lady Knights included junior, Alina McClain who served 7 aces, hit 5 kills and had 1 block; Carrie Baker adding 5 aces, 5 kills, 1 block and 1 assist; Sarah Dekok who served 8 aces; Miranda Hanna contributing 7 assists, 5 aces and 1 kill; and Catherine Wenger who set 5 assists, hit 2 kills and served 3 aces.

The Lady Knights’ next match with be today against the West-Mont Wings, at home in the new Renaissance Academy gymnasium located at 413 Fairview Street, Phoenixville, PA.
