Phoenixville has had its share of ups and down this season as head coach Jen Forresta and her squad have navigated their way through the treacherous waters that are the PAC-10 schedule.
On Tuesday, the Phantoms (8-5 league, 9-7 overall) will take on Methacton in the semifinal round of the Pioneer Athletic Conference Final Four held at Owen J. Roberts High School at 5 p.m.
With a healthy squad and confidence growing every game, the combination of speed and physical play should present Methacton with enough challenges to allow the Phantoms to exploit gaps in the Warriors’ defense.

Following a breakout, eight-goal performance by Casey Luzins, the Phantoms, who have won seven of their last 11 games, come into the tournament riding the wave of a four-game winning streak in which their defense has set the tone.
When the Warriors (11-2 league, 13-5 overall) defeated Phoenixville 14-7 earlier in the season, the Phantoms were without the services of Britney Rohall, who along with Marlee Farbstein, Sam Trafford and Shannon McEarlean have provided more than enough offense for Old Dominion-bound net minder Karen Hayde to get Phoenixville into the final four as the Frontier Division’s No. 1 seed.
