Longtime Teacher And Coach From Chesco Charged With Sexual Assault: DA

WEST CHESTER, PA -- A longtime Ridley High School physics teacher and girls track and field coach has been arrested for sexually assaulting an 18-year-old female student, according to the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office.
Gregory A. Stanczuk, 52, of Hampshire Place, will be charged with institutional sexual assault, among other charges.
“As a teacher and coach, Gregory Stanczuk flagrantly used his position of trust and authority to exploit the victim, manipulating her emotionally for his own sexual gratification,” District Attorney Jack Whelan said in a statement.

The relationship began when the girl was a freshman on the team and was in his class, the DA said.
Stanczuk was arrested at the conclusion of an lengthy investigation conducted by Sgt. Robin F. Clark of the Delaware County District Attorney’s Criminal Investigation Division Child Abuse Unit.
