Man Sentenced For Robbing Phoenixville Shopowner That Just Hired Him: Report
Kindness led to crime in Phoenixville.

A Phoenixville shopowner tried to help out a man by giving him a job, but he had other ideas.
John William Pufko broke into the Pisano & Son Shoe Repair store in the Village at Eland shopping center just two days after being offered a job there, according to a Pottstown Mercury report.
When Pufko heard someone coming at the door, he allegedly finished the beer he was drinking, took $90 from the cash register, and jumped out the back window, the report states.
