Man Who Threatened To Kill Ex-Girlfriend In Phoenixville Sentenced To Prison: DA

Police said the man posted lewd photos of her online without her permission and stalked her for months.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A man has been sentenced to 5 to 12 years in state prison after threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend in Chester County, the district attorney's office said.

David Bracetty, 34, of Coatesville was convicted last year of retaliation against a witness/victim, stalking, intimidation, and related counts.

Bracetty issued numerous threats against the woman, harassing her over a period of months and claiming he would harm her if she contacted police, authorities said.

He later posted lewd photos of her, without her permission, on the Internet, the DA added.

Phoenixville Police arrested Bracetty in April 2024 for violating a protection from abuse order.

Bracetty failed to appear for his trial in 2025, and was convicted anyway. He was arrested again, and the sentence was handed down by Judge Bret M. Binder.
