Most Wanted Fugitive Captured By Phoenixville Police

"Deadbeat dad" William Rupelli owed over $36k in child support payments.

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s most wanted fugitive, William M. Rupelli, was captured by Phoenixville Police on July 9.

Rupelli, 46, of Spring City, who lists his occupation as “welder” on his LinkedIn profile, owed $36,632,78 in child support payments for one child.

He was among the “deadbeat dads” that escaped night raids across the county on July 8.

“Thanks for sending tips and sharing!” the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office posted on their Facebook account.

Rupelli’s capture came just one day after his name was released due to his serious delinquency on child support payments.

Four others are still wanted are being actively sought, the Sheriff’s office said.

  • James Davis whose DOB is 12/19/1980 and last known address was 212 2nd Ave., Apt B., Royersford, PA 19468 and 36 Elio Cir., Collegeville, PA 19426 owes $14,314.90 for two children.
  • Shawn McAlarnen whose DOB is 5/24/1982 and last known address was 16 Oak Dr., Spring City, PA 19475 and 1129 Main St., Linfield, PA 19468 owes $5,119.17 for one child.
  • Desbee Corrine Doctor whose DOB is 4/2/1981 and last known address was 785 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464 owes $1,361.65 for one child.
  • Carey A. Granger, Jr., whose DOB is 1/29/1976 and last known address is 3792 Cedar Lane, Collegeville, PA 19426 and 33 W. Vine St., Apt. B-6, Pottstown, PA 19464 owes $15,342.28
