New music for the holiday season (Pt 3) - Jesse Terry - Peace
Continuing my "12 Faves of Christmas" to let you know about great, new music that is available for this holiday season.

The musical talents of Jesse Terry are fast-becoming a secret that is hard to keep. More and more folks are giving his stuff a listen & are instantly hooked by his smooth, relaxing vocal stylings as well as his solid guitar play.
SO cool to have him put those skills to such good use on the new collection of holiday songs called Peace – A Christmas Collection.
The album has a warm, comfortable feel to it as Jesse recorded all his vocals and guitars during quarantine at his home-base, Stargazer Studios – and then sending those tracks to the Nashville-based producer Neilson Hubbard. Along the way, a stellar group of studio musicians like Eamon McLoughlin, Dan Dugmore and Josh Kaler all contributed as well. I’ve always thought that Jesse had a touch of James Taylor in his vocal delivery, and the work turned in here by Dugmore (a long-time collaborator with James on so many records) on his pedal steel & dobro guitars, only tends to cement that notion in my mind.

Terry is quite generous with thus record serving up no fewer than TWENTY tracks here – Most are standards of the holiday season, but delivered with his own, unique vocal arrangement (a nod to his Dad, Michael for doing some of the heavy lifting there) that make these Christmas Classics fresh & wonderful to discover once again.
Bottom line – If you liked the holiday music that James Taylor put out a few years ago, then I’m guessing you’ll LOVE this collection from Jesse Terry. Just pour yourself a glass of Christmas cheer, set yourself down near the tree & by the fire, press ‘play,’ and let the magic begin!
