Oaks Expo Center Addresses Coronavirus, Holding Events As Planned

Oaks Expo Center, which has a capacity of thousands, has several scheduled events coming up over the next few weeks.

OAKS, PA — The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks does not have plans to cancel its upcoming events due to coronavirus, they said in an announcement Wednesday.

However, one of the larger events, the Eagle Arms Gun Show on March 13-15, has been independently canceled. On their website, they noted that "local government has canceled us! Sorry for any inconvenience!"

As coronavirus concerns spread in Montgomery County and around the region, health officials are warning that avoiding large gatherings is an important containment measure. It's led to several local school districts closing for "deep cleanings." Local colleges like West Chester University and Bucks County Community College have closed their campuses for the semester.
