One person is dead after a car drove off the road in Upper Providence late Tuesday night and burst into flames, according to reports.

One person is dead after a crash in Upper Providence late Tuesday night, according to reports.
The incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Ashenfelter Road, the Pottstown Mercury reports.
A car with California license plates ran off the road and down an embankment where it smashed into a tree and burst into flames, authorities said.

Officials are attempting to determine what caused the accident.
The victim was determined to be a male but police have not yet discovered his identity, according to the report.
