Here's what is happening in July - GREAT shows to enjoy on these upcoming summer evenings...

YIKES! It's already July!

So here are some more GREAT outdoor concert choices for you to consider (& an indoor one as well that should NOT be missed!)...

As we said earlier, we are extremely fortunate in this area to have a BUNCH of choices all summer long, so part three of this posting will just deal with the ones that are currently scheduled to take place in July, okay? - Here you go:

We start out in the borough itself at the famed Colonial Theatre with what promises to be a great shows by a legendary performer - That will be in the form of former member of the Police, Andy Summers who will be performing there on Wednesday, July 26th. This is one that should not be missed folks! Andy is also an accomplished photographer & writer so you can expect a wide variety of visual & aural experiences to occur during the evening (& maybe a few Police tunes that you might remember as well)! It's Summers in the summer - That's serendipity that should not be missed!

Another local, not-so-well-kept secret concert event happens just down the road from us in Malvern on Wednesdays once a month. The series is called 'Friends of Summerstage' and their offering for July will be an evening of tunes with the uber-talented local singer-songwriter Lauren Hart on July 19th @ 6:30... Joining Lauren with be the equally wonderful Alexis Cunningham & the combination of the two promises to be a very special night at Valley Creek Park (361 Morehall Road in Malvern). This family-friendly event is FREE to one & all! Summerstage should have some food trucks & beverage options on-site for you to enjoy, but you can also bring your own food & drinks along with a picnic blanket or lawn chair while you sit back, relax, mark the middle of the work-week, and enjoy these two talents!

Nearby Eagleview also hosts some outdoor events throughout the summer month over there in their Restaurant Row area & has the Adam Ezra Group appearing on Tuesday, July 17th with special guests Sug Daniels and Lolly Hopwood (for the kiddies)... Concerts Under the Stars continues it's run at Upper Merion Township Building Park in nearby King of Prussia for its 37th season this summer & is another great option to consider - July's line-up is OUTSTANDING with the legendary jam band/banjo picker Keller Williams performing both solo + with Kellergrass featuring the Hillbenders on Sunday, July 16th - That promises to be a yee-haw evening of down home music... Singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb is slated to appear on Saturday, July 22nd & our own Tommy Conwell & the Houserockers will live up to their name to ROCK the joint on Friday, July 28th (may wanna tell the neighbors to be ready to hear some blistering guitars coming from the park! - Complete details and more info for the entire summer schedule can be found at concertsunderthestarskop.com.

But it's the long-running Bryn Mawr Twilight Concerts at the Bryn Mawr Gazebo that has the lion's share of fantastic performers this month... That kicks off with the superb singer-songwriter (& former Downingtownian, now Nashvillian) Liz Longley appearing on Saturday, July 8th with Jesse Ruben (who's no slouch either!)... If you've never had the good fortune to see Liz perform live, this is an opportunity to rectify that situation... She's simply the best at what she does! July also includes performances by local favorites Jeffrey Gaines + Mutlu on Saturday, July 15th - the incredibly awesome David Wilcox with the Nields on Saturday, July 22nd - a family folk show with the legendary Trout Fishing in America on Sunday, July 23rd - and the brilliant singer-songwriter John Gorka on Saturday, July 29th. All of these are family-friendly concerts as well and tickets + more info can be found at brynmawrtwilightconcerts.com.

We know, we know... As always, it's a LOT to take in... but now you can start marking up your calendar for July & plan some outings to make the month EVEN BETTER! And as always, we will continue to hope for some GOOD weather on the days of these shows & cannot wait to see YOU at some of these events!
