Phoenixville Alleged Attempted Murderer Still On The Run

This man is wanted for allegedly stabbing a victim several times in the neck and chest with a large kitchen knife in Phoenixville.

UPDATE:

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a man wanted connection with an attempted homicide in the borough on Sunday morning, they announced Monday.

The suspect is Mauricio Almeida Silva, 28, of Brazilian and Portugese descent. He is 5’11 and 160 pounds, according to police.

Silva allegedly stabbed a victim on Sunday morning on the 500 block of Bridge Street, near Buchanan Street and between Nudy’s Cafe and the Shell gas station.

First responders on the scene found the victim, a 43-year-old man, suffering from multiple stab wounds in the neck and chest from a large kitchen knife.

The victim, from Danbury, Connecticut, was taken to Paoli Hospital and is recovering in critical condition.

Silva is a native of Medford, Massachusetts. Further details about the relationship between the suspect and the victim are not known at this time.
