Phoenixville To Consider Proposal For 14 New Homes

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Borough officials in Phoenixville will weigh a proposal to build fourteen new homes on the north side.

The proposal calls for the new twin units to be built on Vanderslice Street, separated by Gay Street.

Each unit would have front porch, garage, and driveway. Three parking spaces would be allotted to all units.

The developers, Audubon Land Development Corp, say they will also provide the necessary stormwater management, landscaping, utilities and lighting.

Concerns from residents echo issues that have arisen with similar projects over the increasing population density in the borough, along with insufficient infrastructure to handle traffic.

Audubon Land Development Corp. is behind several other redevelopments in the surrounding area. They're also the new owners of the historic St. Gabriel's Hall in Audubon, bought last fall for $14.5 million.

The plans for the lots in Phoenixville are still preliminary, and have been under review by the borough's Planning Commission since Oct. 2025. They're calling it the Station Hill Subdivision.

All told, the development covers 2.73 acres. Total costs have not yet been disclosed.

The planning commission meeting to discuss the proposal will be held on May 14 at 6:30 p.m. at borough hall. It is open to the public.
