Phoenixville Cross-Country Hosting Summer Track Series

The team will host races on July 19 and August 2.

Looking to get back on track towards meeting your fitness goals this summer? Then come out to the track.

Starting next week, the Phoenixville Phantoms cross country team is inviting runners of all ages and abilities to compete in its 2012 Summer Twilight Track series, a pair of events that will be held at its 386 City Line Avenue track on July 19 and August 2.

The July 19 event will feature 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, and 3000 meter races and a 4 by 400 meter relay, while the August 2 meet will be comprised of 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, and 5000 meter races and a 4 by 800 meter relay. All attempts will be made to group runners into similar age and ability levels, though the specific heats won’t be determined until registration is complete.

Each event starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $5 per entrant. Prospective racers can register on race day starting at 5:30 p.m., or complete an online form here.
