Phoenixville Fire Department Cites Low Donation Rate

Only 13 percent of residents donated to the department last year. And as the department points out, "we show up 100 percent of the time."

Only 13 percent of Phoenixville residents donated last year to the Phoenixville Fire Department’s annual fund drive, they said in a recent Facebook release.

And, as they pointed out: “We show up 100% of the time.”

Residents AND Businesses - Your Gift Helps Us Save Lives And Property In Our Community The Phoenix Hose, Hook & Ladder Co., No 1 of your Phoenixville Fire Department is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. While we do receive tax monies from the Borough of Phoenixville and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, your Fire Department is ṉoṭ fully taxpayer funded. Donations are needed to maintain our operation. Donated funds are primarily used to help pay for our career firefighters on-duty daily from 6 AM to 11 PM. Career and volunteer firefighters work together to respond to emergencies in Phoenixville and surrounding areas.
