Phoenixville Health Inspections: Subway Leads The Way

Why did Subway fail their inspection? And see how other area eateries fared.

The Chester County Department of Health has inspected three Phoenixville area locations in the past few weeks, from the period of November 17 through December 4.

The Subway in East Pikeland led the way with three violations:

  • Utility sink backflow preventor has been removed. Install a backflow preventor.
  • No cold water at the utility sink. Have the plumbing works repaired and cold water provided.
  • Rear restroom has a broken lock and is unaccessible. Have the lock replaced or repaired. Restroom must be made accessible to staff and public.

Subway was inspected on November 19.

Two other locations in the area have been inspected since November 17.

The Slovak American Club was inspected on November 30, and was cited for a soda gun in need of cleaning.
