Phoenixville Ninth Grader Shot At Dunkin Donuts
Authorities have not yet released any information on the shooting of a Phoenixville HS freshman at Dunkin Donuts last night.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A Phoenixville Area HS student was shot at Dunkin Donuts on Wednesday night and is in serious condition, the district says.
The student, a ninth grader, was rushed to Phoenixville Hospital in the wake of the incident, according to the district.
The incident occurred at the Dunkin Donuts parking lot off Nutt Road, near Gay Street, at around 7 p.m.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, although the victim was shot multiple times. The location of the shooting was just a short block away from the hospital.
The high school will be open on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for students and staff to come together, Superintendent Alan Fegley said in a statement issued Wednesday evening.

"Tonight my thoughts and prayers are with the PASD family," Mayor-Elect Peter Urscheler said. "Whenever incidents occur within our community it is natural to want the most updated information, I would ask everyone to please use caution when sharing or speculating about this or any incident."
Patch has reached out to authorities for details. No arrests have been announced and no additional details have been released regarding the suspect or victim of Thursday morning.
The shooting is the latest violent incident this year in Phoenixville. In November, a woman was stabbed multiple times in a church parking lot in the borough. And in September, a 21-year-old shot and killed Joshua Mitchell, aged 20, in Children's Plaza on Bridge Street.
