Phoenixville, Local Municipalities Get $1.25M To Fight Crime

Phoenixville, West Pikeland, and several local municipalities will receive funding to help fight crime and support victims of crime.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Phoenixville and several local municipalities have received $1.25 million in funding to help prevent crime and improve services for victims of crime.

The funds come from federal grants approved by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, State Sen. Andy Dinniman announced.

“These funds will support important efforts to prevent crime, keep our communities safe, get dangerous criminals off the streets, and provide vital recovery services to victims,” Dinniman said in a statement.

The funding will be disbursed as follows:

  • $14,320 for East Pikeland Township
  • $46,069 for Easttown Township
  • $7,685 for Phoenixville Borough
  • $24,304 for Valley Township
  • $2,870 for West Pikeland Township

The funds will go to the Crime Victims Center of Chester County and also to programs funded by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, which provides funding for law enforcement, education, courts, drug treatment, mental health and behavioral programs, and more.
