Phoenixville Makes Decision On Charter School Funding: Report

The district is looking to save money while the state budget negotiations continue.

Phoenixville will only pay 82 percent of what it normally does to fund charter schools, according to a Times Herald report.

Superintendent Alan Fegley made the announcement Thursday, a week after the district said it would only pay half of teacher pensions, the report states.

Phoenixville, like other districts, has not had an official budget for 81 days, the report states.
