Phoenixville Man Arrested For Bomb Threat At Boarding Home: Cops

The man had a cell phone timer counting down and was sliding his finger across his neck, looking at police, they said.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — A Phoenixville man has been arrested after threatening to blow up a boarding house in the borough recently, according to Phoenixville Police Department blotters.

The incident occurred at around 1 p.m. on Oct. 29 on the first block of Nutt Road.

Police said they were called to the scene after someone called 911 and then hung up.

They came upon George Randolph, 33, who was holding a cell phone with a timer counting down, sliding a finger across his neck repeatedly and looking at the officers, according to the blotter.

Police report that Randolph "refused to speak" and they were given no choice but to evacuate the building and wait for the timer to get to zero.

There was no explosion, and Randolph was taken into custody on charges of terroristic threats. No one was injured.
