Phoenixville Man Killed In Tractor Trailer Crash

The victim of a fatal Wednesday morning crash in Worcester was a Phoenixville resident, the Pennsylvania State Police said in statement.

Ronald Clark, 66, was driving his pickup truck at about 5:49 a.m. when a tractor trailer collided head-on with his vehicle, according to fire officials.

The incident occurred on South Valley Forge Road.

The Worcester Volunteer Fire Department and Skippack Fire Company responded to the scene, where they found one victim “heavily entrapped.”

They were able to stabilize the vehicle and get him from the pickup truck, but he was declared dead at the scene, fire officials said.

Traffic in the area was backed up and the road was blocked off until mid-morning as emergency crews worked to clean-up the crash.

The driver and a passenger in the tractor trailer were taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries, which are believed to be non life-threatening, according to officials.
