Phoenixville Man, West End Fire Lifetime Member, Passes At 72
Richard C. Denfeld, 72, loved traveling, music, and his special canine friend, Tibet.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Richard C. Denfeld, 72, of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in Seasons Hospice. Born on February 13, 1946 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Irene J. (Slavinski) and Henry C. Denfeld.

A graduate of Phoenixville High School, Richard attended Millersville University before transferring to Penn State University. He had been employed at Autocar, in Exton, Fleming Foods, in Oaks and retired from Beckett and Lee LLP, in Malvern. Richard enjoyed traveling and just doing what he wanted to do. He loved music, especially doo-wop and oldies, and attending shows. Richard was a lifetime member of the West End Fire Co. and the Slovak Club. He will be missed by his special canine friend: Tibet.
Mr. Denfeld is survived by his sister: Mary Rose Neher, of Phoenixville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Henry Denfeld.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
