Phoenixville Progressives Meeting At Molly Maguire's Highlighted By WHYY
A group called the Phoenixville Progressives had their political activism work and meetings at Molly Maguire's highlighted by WHYY.

PHEONIXVILLE, PA -- A recent meeting of the Phoenixville Progressives, a group of Bernie Sanders supporters that is now advocating for liberal issues down the ticket, was highlighted by WHYY in a feature Thursday morning.
The group, which frequently meets at Molly Maguire's, was previously known as Phoenixville Area Citizens for Bernie. It changed its name after Sanders lost the primary to Hillary Clinton.
But the impassioned group of roughly 30 members has decided not to give up on the issues championed by Sanders. They continue to work together to try to elect officials to local office that they believe endorse similar policies. They're also engaged on issues at the local level, lobbying area officials on certain causes.

One such cause is the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a proposed trade agreement among Pacific Rim countries vehemently opposed by Sanders supporters. During the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, "Stop TPP" signs were a frequently sign on the convention floor. Phoenixville organizers lobbied local U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello to fight against the proposal.
Other issues the group fights for include natural gas fracking, public education funding, and racial and social justice issues.

The group is led by Sabrina Febrigo, who was a Sanders delegate.
