Phoenixville Relay for Life Set for April

More than a $10,000 has already been raised for the Phoenixville Relay for Life, coming up in April.

LANSDALE, PA -- Spring is just a few short weeks away, and that means that it's Relay for Life season for the American Cancer Society.

Relay for Life is a national event held at thousands of high schools throughout the United States. The student-led walks are typically held in May and June. Cancer survivors, their families and members of the community walk around high school tracks all day and night to raise money to help cancer victims and fund cancer research. A moving candlelight luminaria ceremony is held at night, honoring cancer victims.

The Phoenixville Relay for Life will be held on April 22 at 10 a.m. at Phoenixville Area High School.
