Police: Sleeping Driver Charged With DUI
Police had to knock several times to wake the driver, and said when he finally rolled down his window, there was a strong smell of alcohol.
Police investigating a car parked on the side of the road ended up charging its driver with DUI.
East Pikeland Police observed a car parked on the 100 block of Brimful Drive around 2:20 p.m. May 29 with someone in the driver's seat.
Police had to knock several times to wake the driver, and said when he finally rolled down his window, there was a strong smell of alcohol.
Francis Fillippo, 46, of the 90 block of Ridge Road in Phoenixville, was given several field sobriety tests, police said, and failed.
Fillippo was charged with DUI, and was taken home.
