Police: Soda, Cheese Stolen From Phoenixville Home

A man last week stole soda and cheese from an open Phoenixville garage, police said.

A woman around 11 a.m. Aug. 26 found a strange man in the open garage of her home on the 5000 block of Swan Drive, The Pottstown Mercury reported.

The man took a six-pack of Pepsi and a block of cheese from the garage refrigerator, police told The Mercury, and knocked the homeowner over as he fled the garage.

A K-9 unit was brought in, but the man wasn’t located, The Mercury said.

The man was described as white and skinny in his mid-40s.
