Renaissance Academy Begins Intramural Sports for Younger Students

The Renaissance Academy Charter School is pleased to announce that, beginning for the 2014-2015 school year, they will be offering a new co-ed sports intramurals program for students in 4th-6th grade.

About this new program, Kevin Zvorsky, Renaissance Academy’s Athletic Director, said, “We hope this new program will be able to offer our Lower School students the opportunity to learn basic sports skills in a fun and competitive environment as well as to receive the activity they need to lead a healthy life.”

There will be three intramural programs, starting with soccer in fall, basketball in winter and baseball/kickball in spring. Mr. Zvorsy added that “our intent is to expand the program to include a variety of different sports, affording the younger students with the chance to gain exposure to new athletic activities and meet new friends, while enriching the student life experience here at Renaissance Academy.”
